The Standard

Hard work, endurance, nothing but the best.

Three words are easy to say. Here is what they mean on an actual job, whether it is a website, a repair or an aircraft.

Values

Hard work

Show up, prepare properly, and do the slow parts as carefully as the visible ones.

In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury.

Proverbs 14:23 · KJV

Endurance

Finish what was started. Work done to hold up, and someone who sticks around after it is done.

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Galatians 6:9 · KJV

Nothing but the best

Good materials, care in every step, and a final check before anything is called finished.

Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might

Ecclesiastes 9:10 · KJV

How the work gets done

The process

The same five steps for every kind of job.

  1. 01

    Tell me the problem

Describe what is wrong or what you need, in your own words.

  2. 02

    I listen

I ask questions and look at the job before promising anything.

  3. 03

    We find the solution

We agree on the fix, the price and the timing before work starts.

  4. 04

    I get it done

Hands-on work, done properly, with updates along the way.

  5. 05

    You see the finished work

We walk through it together, and anything that is not right gets made right.

The promise

If it is not right, it is not finished.

  • Plain answers. Straight talk about what a job needs, what it costs and how long it takes.
  • Clean work. The space is left as it was found, or better.
  • Honest timing. If something changes, you hear about it first.
  • Care for the details. The parts nobody sees get the same attention as the parts everybody does.

Put the standard to work.

Websites, handyman work or aircraft detailing. Start with a few details.
